支票的英文金額該如何寫?

好多人爭拗呢個問題！寫支票：如果前面有：United States Dollars 字眼

  •    咁我地填寫英文金額時係唔係可以省去 dollars 呢？
    United State Dollars :  One hundred thirty two (dollars) and
    sixty cents
    某些人批評人話唔專業，多餘做法！     ( 指加上 dollars 字 )
  •  Cents 係 and 後面定係 (亳分位) 後面呢？
    One hundred forty three and cents fifty only.
    One hundred forty three and fifty cents only.

前面定後面？爭拗不停！又某專業人士話按照專業寫法，cents
一定係 and 後面，如果唔係文法根本不可以行??
又人話cents係後面先正確！

英語的『慣用搭配』是一對或一組經常在一起的詞。

例如：make an effort, fast food 或 watch TV等等，是固定不變的。

若果改用其他組合例如：look at TV（看著電視）代替watch TV（看電視），看起來意思近似，相信也可以明白，但在以英語為母語的人眼中，仍屬不正確。

形容詞不能亂放，要跟隨一套排列次序：

  1. 限定詞（determiner）或　冠詞（article）
    determiner 例：this, that, these, those, my, mine, your, yours, him, his, her, hers, they, their, Sam’s ; 或
    article – a, an, the
  2. 表達看法、主張、見解、意見 ── 例：polite, fun, cute, difficult, hard-working
  3. 尺碼大小、比較級 ── 例：高度 ── tall, taller, tallest; short, high, low
    濶度 ──  wide, wider, widest; narrow, thin, slim
    長度 ──  long, longer, longest; short
    體積 ──  fat, fatter, fattest; huge
  4. 形狀 ── 例：circular, oval, triangular, square, 5-sided, hexagonal, irregular
  5. 年齡、年代 ── 例：new, young, adolescent, teenage, middle-aged, old, ancient
  6. 顏色 ── 例：red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, grey, black, black and white, light blue, dark red, pale blue, reddish brown, off-white, bright green, warm yellow
  7. 國籍 ── 例：Chinese, English, American, Canadian, Japanese
  8. 宗教 ── 例：Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Moslem (Muslim), pagan, atheist
  9. 物質 ── 例：wood, plastic, metal, ceramic, paper, silk
  10. 當作形容詞用的名詞 ── 例：campus (e.g. campus activities)
  11. 形容詞修飾的名詞 ── 例：activities
